Greenbiz reported that the "Commercial Real Estate Energy Alliance" was launched by the U.S. Department of Energy and 19 commercial real estate companies to link the building owners to the latest efficiency technologies.
According to the report, Commercial building consume roughly about 18 percent of the country's total consumption. These alliance is a part of DOE's Net-Zero Energy Commercial Building Initiative which targets zero - energy commercial building by 2025.
